Innovative Game Development Workshops

PRS Care Services, in collaboration with professional game studio Catalyst Games, proudly presents an exciting new program designed to boost creativity, problem-solving skills, and social interaction among NDIS participants.

Our Game Development Workshop Series offers:
Four engaging, paper-based sessions – no screens required!
Industry-standard instruction from experienced professionals
A fun, inclusive environment adaptable to different interests and ages
NDIS-approved under “Capacity Building – Increased Social and Community Participation”
Workshop Structure:

Week 1 Session 1: Introduction to Game Mechanics

Explore fundamental game mechanics tailored to participants’ interests
Learn paper prototyping techniques through hands-on iteration cycles

Week 1 Session 2: Gameplay and Core Loops

Develop functional game systems by creating gameplay core loops
Understand how different game mechanics interact and extend prototypes

Week 2 Session 1: World Building and Storytelling

Craft rich stories and lore to enhance game concepts
Blend mechanical systems with engaging narrative worlds

Week 2 Session 2: Game Production Cycles

Gain insight into professional game development processes
Analyse created prototypes for target audiences and platforms
